Cash threshold reports
A cash threshold report records that one counterparty moved more than the reportable amount on one day.
You never open a report by hand. At end of day the system adds up each counterparty’s reportable movements for that day. If the total reaches the threshold your organisation has set, a report opens against that counterparty.
You work with them on the Cash threshold reports screen.

Three things are worth knowing about the totalling.
- Only the movement types your organisation named in the rule are counted.
- The day’s movements are added together. One large payment and several small ones reaching the same total are treated the same way.
- One counterparty gets one report per day, however many accounts the movements came from.
A report is never removed. A later end of day does not close it, replace it, or quietly age it out. It stays on the list until someone dispositions it. Running end of day again for the same date opens nothing new.
A worked example
Woodgrove Bank reports cash deposits over 10,000. Alex pays in 6,000 in the morning and 5,000 in the afternoon.
Neither deposit reaches the threshold on its own. The day’s total is 11,000, so one report opens against Alex for 11,000, listing both deposits.
Jointly-owned accounts
Due diligence is done per person, so one account’s movement is reportable against every owner of that account.
Alex and Sam jointly own an account, and 15,000 is paid into it. Two reports open, one against Alex and one against Sam. Each shows 15,000 — the whole amount, not half of it.
Someone who holds a non-owning role on the account gets no report.
Reading the list
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Report date | The day the movements were made |
| Counterparty | The person or organisation the report is about |
| Regime | The set of rules the report was raised under |
| Total | The day’s reportable movements, added up |
| Transactions | How many movements make up the total |
| Status | Due, or dispositioned with the reference you filed |
| Status | What it means | What you do next |
|---|---|---|
| Due | Nobody has filed this report yet | File it, then record the reference |
| Dispositioned | Filed, and the reference is recorded | Nothing, unless the reference was wrong |
Dispositioning a report
Filing happens outside this system. The platform does not send the report — it records that you did, and under which reference.
- Select Disposition on the report’s row.
- Enter the goAML reference you were given when you filed.
- Select Save.
The status becomes Dispositioned and shows the reference. If you typed it wrongly, select Update and enter the correct one.
What your organisation configures
- Which movements count, and over what amount. Set on the compliance regime as one or more threshold rules. See counterparty clearance.
- Whether this screen appears at all. Cash threshold reporting is a licensable capability. See switching features on and off.
- Who can see and disposition reports. Both are separate permissions.
A suspicion you form yourself is a different record, and it is not raised here. See suspicion reports.
